Sportradar acquires Synergy Sports


Sportradar has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire automated sports technology solutions and data and video analytics provider, Synergy Sports.


Synergy Sports has league-wide relationships with the NBA and MLB, as well as all of NCAA Division I women’s and men’s basketball.


US SPORTS BETTING


NEVADA – Aristocrat Gaming and Mesquite Gaming have launched two new Lightning Link Lounges at CasaBlanca Resort, Casino, Golf & Spa and Virgin River Hotel & Casino. Each Lightning Link Lounge is a dedicated area of the casino filled exclusively with Aristocrat’s player-favorite Lightning Link slot game. The Lightning Link Lounge at CasaBlanca opened March 10 with 20 games, and Virgin River’s Lightning Link Lounge opened March 11 with 24 games.


“Mesquite Gaming and Aristocrat have a built a long-time partnership and their Link games have been very popular with our players,” said Chris Lazzara, Vice President of Marketing and Advertising for Mesquite Gaming. “The new lounge spaces will create even more excitement on our slot floors at both locations.”


The concept for Lightning Link Lounges was born from player demand. “From the minute Lightning Link first hit the casino floor in Australia, it became a global sensation. Here in the States, we have worked with our customers from coast to coast to launch Lightning Link Lounges, all in response to player demand,” said Jon Hanlin, SVP of Commercial Strategy and Business Analytics.


NEW YORK – New York State Senate and Assembly have approved two slightly different bills that would pave the way for multi-operator, mobile sports betting framework within their budget bills with the prospect of three new commercial casinos being put up for grabs in the New York City area. The cost of applying for one of the three downstate casinos is $500m. Sports betting is currently allowed at four commercial casinos and casinos owned by three upstate Native American tribes but would be widened to allow Empire City Casino and Resorts World Casino New York City to offer betting.


US – Bally's Corporation has signed a multiyear agreement worth over US$85m to become an Authorised Gaming Operator of Major League Baseball (MLB), marking Bally's third sports betting agreement with a professional sports league following its previously announced agreements with the National Hockey League and the National Basketball Association.


VIRGINIA – The Bally's Richmond Casino Resort, a proposed $650m world-class destination resort, hotel and casino, has been selected as one of three finalists by the City of Richmond's Evaluation Panel to host a casino gaming establishment. Bally's proposal represents the largest casino resort project and the largest upfront payment to the City at $100m. The Evaluation Panel made its determination after a thorough review of six proposals submitted in late February 2021.

Sportradar has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Synergy Sports, provider of automated sports technology solutions, data and video analytics in the US College and Professional sports space.


Te acquisition complements and extends Sportradar’s product suite, as well as supports the company’s drive to deepen and broaden its relationships with key sports organisations globally. Te acquisition is anticipated to close in the second quarter, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals.


In the US, Sportradar is the official partner of the NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB, while Synergy Sports has league-wide relationships with the NBA and MLB, as well as all of NCAA Division I women’s and men’s basketball and over 90 per cent of NCAA Division I men’s baseball.

Bally's completes takeover of Monkey Knife Fight

Bally's Corporation has completed the acquisition of Monkey Knife Fight, the third- largest daily fantasy sports operator in North America.


Te acquisition makes Bally's only the third sports betting company in the US to have a fantasy sports segment.

Monkey Knife Fight’s distinctive platform has approximately 200,000 registered users and 90,000 depositing players, which will contribute to Bally's growing player database and provide an advantage in launching its own B2C sports betting operations.


Te acquisition allows Bally's to combine MKF's expansive geographic presence, which spans 37 states, the District of Columbia, and Canada, with Sinclair's significant media footprint, including its portfolio of 19 regional sports networks, to engage sports fans across the US with DFS offerings.


Nevada


Yet another Bally’s purchase, the MontBleu in Lake Tahoe is to be added to the portfolio having been approved by the Nevada Gaming Commission. Edgewood Companies is selling what will become Bally's first casino in the state. Company Chairman Soo Kim said: “Even though we are spending time on technology, we believe in the physical experience of the casino. Tis is a destination property and a first-class place to go in Nevada. Tis is an opportunity to have a destination for our customers from different parts of the country and have a resort experience like Lake Tahoe.”


Bally's owns 11 casinos in seven states, but expects to soon have 15 casinos in 11 states by next year through deals that are pending. MontBleu has seven restaurants and bars, 17 table games, 418 slot machines, a 1,300-seat showroom and 1,600sq.ft of meeting space.
