Casumo Fined £6m for Multiple Failings
Casumo to pay a £6m fine and undergo extensive auditing after a Gambling Commission assessment revealed social responsibility and AML failures.
Casumo must, at its own expense, instruct a firm of independent auditors to carry out an audit to examine transactions that have taken place post July 1 2020.

POLAND – Century Casinos temporarily closed its Polish casinos on March 19, 2021 through April 9, 2021, subject to potential extensions, to comply with quarantines issued by the Polish government to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The Poland operating segment contributed one per cent of the company's Adjusted EBITDA for the year ended December 31, 2020. Century said: "The COVID-19 situation continues to evolve rapidly, and it currently appears that due to the pandemic's current scope it will adversely impact the company at least through the first half of 2021."

BULGARIA – The organiser of BEGE expo has announced the postponement of the event to the autumn of 2022. “Our priority is always the safety and health of our exhibitors, speakers and participants. We had hoped to stick to our original dates in November 2021, however, it is now clear that it is still unlikely and many people will still be facing travel disruption and restrictions during 2021,” said a BEGE representative.

casumo.com, will have to pay a £6m fine and undergo extensive auditing after a Gambling Commission assessment revealed social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures. Casumo will also receive an official warning as a result of the Commission investigation.
Social responsibility failings included not putting into effect policies and procedures for customer interaction where it has concerns that a customer’s activity may indicate problem gambling. One customer lost £1.1m over three years without being subject to a responsible gambling interaction. A second customer lost £65,000 in one month without being subject to a responsible gambling interaction. A third customer lost £76,000 over seven months without being subject to a responsible gambling interaction.
Te operator also failed to take into account the Commission’s guidance on customer interaction, and this resulted in it not carrying out a responsible gambling interaction on a customer who lost £89,000 in a five hour period. Te operator also didn't carry out a responsible gambling interaction on a customer who lost £59,000 in a 90 minute period.
Totalizator Sportowy’s Total Casino goes live with Greentube
Poland
Greentube has made its market entry into Poland after taking its content live with Totalizator Sportowy’s brand Total Casino.
Te agreement means the supplier’s online and mobile versions of titles such as Sizzling Hot, Book of Ra and Lucky Lady’s Charm are now available for the first time to Polish online players through the monopoly casino operator’s Total Casino site. Also set to be integrated with Total Casino are titles from Greentube Collections, an exclusive portfolio encompassing all the supplier’s most popular games series.

Anti-money laundering failings included customers being allowed to deposit significant sums of money without sufficient AML checks being conducted. Source of Funds (SOF) checks were also insufficient. Payslips and invoices presented as evidence of SOF were not corroborated with bank statements (or other evidence). Bank statements produced were not assessed appropriately. Examples include incomplete bank statements which only showed credits into the customer’s account. Te balance figures on a customer’s bank statement had been redacted.
Tere was also inadequate checks of documentation for authenticity with no assessment or limit of how much a customer should be allowed to spend based on known income, wealth or any other risk factors. Winnings from other gambling operators were accepted as SOF, without further investigation.
Casumo also failed to ensure that its policies, procedures and controls were implemented effectively, kept under review, revised appropriately to ensure that they remain effective and take into account any applicable learning or guidelines published by the Commission from time to time.

Playson has partnered with the full-service platform provider, White Hat Gaming, in a deal which will make the slot developer’s portfolio accessible to a wider audience.
Under the agreement, the company will deliver its suite of Playson titles via 1X2Network’s 3PI platform, including Solar King, Legend of Cleopatra Megaways and the recent hit, Divine Dragon: Hold and Win. Te deal sees Playson enlarge its commercial presence in Europe, with the supplier’s immersive games collection enjoyed by a growing number of players on the continent and beyond.
