SELFLESS FLA (FUTURE LEADERS AWARD)
The summer term will feature the climax of the Future Leaders Award programme where students present their final projects to mentors. Although the programme is reaching its conclusion the journey for the students involved has only just begun. Over the course of the past few months, Future Leaders Award staff have been blown away by the progress made by students and how their leadership skills have grown.
WESTBURY LEO’S CLUB
The Westbury Leos Club have been serving the Westbury community over the last 2 terms in a range of ways, from tea parties for senior citizens within the community to litter picking to keep the Westbury location looking tidy. They have led the annual Easter Egg trail and marshalling of the 10K race too! We are really proud of all of their support, dedication and selflessness, giving up lots of their own free time to help others.
There are now 6 projects that will all have a positive on the school community. Projects include a recycling initiative in school, transition activities, stalls for MFest and shelters around the school site. We look forward to hearing the final presentations and celebrating the students’ success during the graduation ceremony on 17th July.
