HISTORY CLUB Wednesday’s 3pm Miss Stafford (HU16)
We have done tons in History club this year! From Jack the Ripper to pirates to chocolate. It’s been great to explore areas of history that we can’t fit into the curriculum with some enthusiastic historians! Roll on next year!

‘Jack the Ripper was the first thing we did, we set up a murder mystery and other students had to come and pick the murderer from our 7 suspects. Then we created a treasure hunt based around pirates for the teachers and this was lots of fun! Finally we learnt
about the history of chocolate where we made our own chocolate packaging and did a tasting session. Overall we have loved History club because it was fun.’

We made maps and out them in bottles so they could find the places around the school. We were in different places around the school and had to ask

‘In History club, we produced a pirate-themed treasure hunt for our teachers. The eventual winners were… (We aren’t really sure!) It was lots of fun and the teachers really enjoyed it!’
Kaelan Rankin-Moore BERLIN TRIP FEBRUARY 2020
The History department are very excited to announce that we are running the trip to Berlin again in February 2020. Last year’s trip was a huge success and students found it invaluable to gain contextual knowledge for their GCSE and A level topics. Deposits have already been collected so keep your eyes peeled for a letter with more information coming soon!
