YEAR 7


The pupils in top set year 7 and 8 recently sat the UK Junior Maths challenge: an international maths competition that takes place in schools across the world.


The pupils sat a 60 minute multiple choice paper and these pupils achieved the following:

Particular congratulations need to go to Sophie Leonard who not only achieved a gold certificate and the best score in school, but she also qualified for the next follow on round. Sophie is one of only 8000 pupils, out of 300,000 that competed, to go onto the next round. Well done Sophie!

PIXL APP


We have recently launched the PIXL app with year 9, 10 and 12. This app can be downloaded onto phones, tablets or just run on a desktop or laptop computer. Each pupil has their own unique login, which they will have been told by their class teacher. This is a brilliant resource that can be tailored to your child’s needs and they will receive regular maths homework using it. Please encourage your child to be using it regularly: the most frequent users will be receiveing rewards!
