Year 9 (continued)

in the school across all year groups. Fingers crossed we can achieve this again for the third year running. As you can see from the graph over 4,000 already have been awarded and we are not quite a third of the way through the year. Ambition (502), Creativity (216), Dynamism (526), Happiness (906), Resilience (636) and Success (1286) all contribute towards the overall total. I’m sure this will continue to rise exponentially throughout the year.

We have lots to look forward to the later in the year. The option process for year 10 GCSE’s and BTEC’s will be in full flow shortly which is a really exciting time for us as it shapes our future pathways. Although we have been through a slightly diluted option process before in year 8 we nevertheless still have experienced the decision making, contemplation and deliberation that comes with the territory. Don’t panic!! Guidance, structure and knowledge will be offered to pupils and

parents alike to enable you to help chose appropriate courses and subjects for you to excel in as we progress through the years. Various assemblies and presentations will be given from a variety of departments and subjects to inform pupils of all the possibilities and opportunities that will be running into year 10.

Wishing you a very well deserved and restful holiday over the Christmas period

Mr Taylor Year 9 Progress Leader
