Study skills drop-in centre We have a drop-in centre to help you achieve in your studies, and we work with your tutors to embed support into your lessons. The support sessions focus on:
English and maths Key skills portfolios ESOL Basic computer confidence
One-to-one dyslexia support and access to assistive technology (by appointment only)
Study support from the resource-based learning team We can help with lots of study support for your course, including:
Books, magazines and academic journals, both paper and online
Knowledgeable staff who will assist you in developing your research skills
A range of study spaces, including silent study Support with IT queries and the use of the VLE Mobile devices such as iPads
Opportunities to develop your English and maths skills through individual support in the Skills Centre, or through resourced-based learning with your class.
Student advisers/counsellors Our trained counsellors will help you with any problem or difficulty you have. All students can receive free, confidential and impartial advice on things like: finance, housing, health, immigration, benefit claims, legal problems, sexual health, drugs, staying safe, personal/ emotional concerns and other issues.
