Adult courses for fun and recreation (continued) Languages
Beginners’ courses These are introductory lessons where you will learn basic vocabulary. Emphasis is on speaking about personal and social interests. You will learn vocabulary for asking directions and other basics that you might need. Also see Spanish in the GCSEs section.
Entry requirements: There are no formal entry requirements; you just need to have a genuine interest in learning the language.

Improvers’ courses You will develop language skills related to contemporary topics such as travelling, free time and culture.
Entry requirements: You are expected to have studied the language to breakthrough / preliminary level or have comparable experience.
