Examples – how much you might pay The following are example scenarios. There are many variations on course fees and student circumstances. Help with fees is often available.


Level 1 qualification course. Full fee £900. Working adult student earning more than minimum wage pays just £450 (deposit of £112.50 and 4 further payments of £84.38) plus £30 registration fee.


Employed student on a low wage working fewer than 16 hours pays £30 only.


Unemployed student claiming state benefits pays £30 only.


Level 2 certificate. Full fee £2582. Employed student earning more than the minimum wage and not claiming benefit pays: £1291 + £30 registration, payable as deposit + 4 instalments. Bursary help may be available.


Unemployed student claiming state benefits pays £30 only.


Level 3 diploma. Full fee £4760. Loan funded 30 year-old student pays £250 deposit (some of which is refunded after the loan is approved and payment received by the college). Loan bursary may be available.


23 year-old without a previous level 3 qualification pays £30 only.


ESOL programme. Course fee: £923.50. Working student pays deposit of £230 + £30 registration fee. Then 4 further payments of £173. Fee reduction may be available through the learner support fund.


Student earning a low wage, and claiming a state benefit pays £30 only.


Am I a Home Student? A Home Student is someone who: Ÿ Has lived in the UK or the European Community without any restrictions on their right to stay for 3 years before the start of the course;


Ÿ Or has been granted refugee status, humanitarian discretion or exceptional leave to remain;


Ÿ Or is an asylum seeker.


Ÿ Please ask a member of our Customer Services team for further eligibility for Home Student status.
