Stonewall College Champions We are proud to be working with Stonewall to develop our work within the Stonewall College Champions programme.

With Stonewall’s support, we are building on our work in celebrating difference among the student community and tackling any instances of homophobia.

We are working to make sure that we consider these issues across our work and college life – from our policies and the language we use, to tutorials, activities, events and the books and publications we have for our students’ reference. We are also committed to working with our local community to tackle homophobic bullying and celebrate difference within our wider community engagement work.

Student activities It’s not all work at the College and our dedicated enrichment team organises a range of activities for you. These include our annual Freshers’ Fair, HE and employability fairs, sports programmes, motivational speakers, cultural and health events, trips (such as paintballing), and much more. The student lounge is an informal and friendly place to meet other students between your lessons and is often the focal point of student social activities.

You said… we listened

We need the feedback of our students to make life at college better for future students. As a student we will ask you to give feedback through surveys, and you can come to the student conference or to Question Times with our principal. In direct response to students’ comments, we rolled out wifi across the campus and introduced card payments in our diner. You said – we listened!
