Access to Higher Education Diploma – Trading & Finance
Get experience of trading floor software used by financial markets professionals! The Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diploma in Trading & Finance is the perfect stepping stone to higher education and a career in financial markets trading. You’ll develop a comprehensive understanding of financial markets trading, and the underpinning theory. This programme is totally industry-focused, as well as a pathway to higher level study. The Access to Trading and Finance programme at Hackney Community College, is run in partnership with the London Academy of Trading (LAT) and the college’s business training company, View Training.
The programme covers trading, economics, finance and study skills. There are modules in specialist topics including macroeconomic policy and financial planning.
As well as your studies on campus, you will need to dedicate yourself to success through self-directed study and completion of course work. Live trading may take place between 7am and 9am at certain points of your course.
Entry requirements: You must have minimum 5 GCSEs at A*-C including English Language and Maths, as well as a commitment to study and achieve your best potential.
Possible next steps: The course will prepare you for higher education qualifications, at university or with the London Academy of Trading, and will open up pathways to a career in the financial trading sector.
