The AD-Systems Wedge Series are available in two sizes, 12-inch and 15-inch. They are best used as high power coax monitors and they are definitely the right choice when the need to amplify signals to the highest level. The series features excellent reproduction of voice, an accurate midrange and brilliant high frequencies. The outstanding technical performance of the wedges is combined with an aesthetic design plus easy handling qualities, thanks to its compact size and lightweight. The flat tuning and the optimised dispersion are responsible for the highest gain before feedback. Both woofers are equipped with a 3.5-inch voice coil and offers an advantage of more surface compared with 3-inch types. That enables the AD-Systems wedges to handle higher peaks without any problems. The dispersion for the high frequency is optimised by using an additional horn flare. All disadvantages of old style coaxial constructions have been eliminated by this way of construction. Flying points and a pole are integrated and it is possible to use the wedges as a front of house speaker if necessary.

The DB2 has four input channels, each of which has a full input matrix that can select from four analogue, four USB, or two digital sources. The DB4 style trimodal EQ has been included, which can be configured as a standard asymmetric EQ, total kill, or a high-pass / low-pass filter system with adjustable reso- nance. Each channel has a single routing switch that sends to the main mix, or to either of the two FX sections, and this control also assigns the crossfader. There is a single microphone channel, which can also be switched to stereo line, providing two-band EQ, gain, cue, and mix level. Each FX engine has five basic studio quality FX types - based on the iLive pro-touring FX system and optimised for DJ use - comprising delays, reverbs, modulators, resonators and damage, plus each FX type has a patch library of different effect variations that can be assigned to the relevant control. The built-in, multi-channel USB2 soundcard allows replay and recording from computer-based audio software for four stereo sends and four stereo returns. All controls send MIDI data and the mixer can double up as a MIDI controller via the MIDI shift button, which allows the FX selection controls to send MIDI data without changing the mixer settings.

The Soundweb London BLU-8v2 Wall Controller is available in white or black and offers Ethernet connectivity, direct or PoE powering, multiple modes of operation, simple control and visual feedback, a sleep feature and a lockout feature. The BLU-8v2 Wall Controller shares the same feature set and appear- ance as the original BLU-8 Wall Controller but benefits from a significant hardware upgrade. Under the surface, the BLU-8v2 has much in common with the rack-mount Soundweb London devices and this revised hardware design offers significant enhancement to networking functionality. The BLU-8v2 features two rotary encoders, one nine segment meter and five push buttons. The device can be configured to work in one of three modes of operation. RGB LEDs on the BLU-8v2 allow unique colours to be assigned to differed zones, giving visual feedback and a high level of user confidence in adjustments made to remote zones. The BLU-8v2 and the other members of the Soundweb London family provide the building blocks of the perfectly tailored system solution.

Specified for high end sound touring and fixed installation applications, the CDC Eight console boasts a unique high agility user interface, accessed via two 24-inch 16:10 high definition LCD touch screens; a further centre located 6-inch LCD touch screen accesses the system control and automation. Combined with a far less menu dependent operating system than other digital consoles, the CDC Eight is exceptionally smart, nimble and intuitive in operation. Community has introduced three new products to its VLF Series of versatile low frequency systems. The dual 8-inch VLF208LV, the single 15-inch VLF115 and the single 18-inch VLF118 join the existing VLF products to create a comprehensive family of high performance subwoofers featuring a compact, low profile design. The new VLF208LV, a dual 8-inch in a larger volume enclosure than the ultra-compact VLF208, is designed for applications that require the lowest frequencies from a slim-profile design. The VLF208LV is available in both portable and installation versions. The portable version includes built-in handles and a pole mount socket, while the black and white installation models incorporate multiple M10 hang points. The new VLF115 and VLF118 models are also designed with a slim profile and clean, modern style. Both offer impressive, powerful bass with a half-space sensitivity of 98dB. The VLF115 handles 1500W program with an operating range of 25Hz to 100 Hz, while the VLF118 handles 2000W program with an operating range of 26Hz to 1000Hz. Underscoring the transformative capabilities of Harman Crown’s chip-based technology, the company has placed a central emphasis on its ComTech DriveCore Series amplifiers. The technology enables performance grade amplifiers to provide a smaller footprint for enhanced power in a range of fixed installations. The line, which consists of four models, offering up to eight channels at 150W per channel, are all one rack, fan-less and ultra-energy efficient. DriveCore chip technology offers greater than 90% efficiency with no compromise in performance, boasting a signal-to-noise ratio of 110dB. DriveCore also has patented feedback and protection circuits integrated into the silicon for fast and accurate response. The DriveCore chip, which was co-developed with Texas Instruments, combines the amplifier drive stage into the power output stage circuits that are typically much larger in size and power requirements. As a result, power consumption is dramatically reduced, and the amplifiers are much more energy-efficient. The DriveCore design yields sonic benefits as well, thanks to tighter tolerances, better circuit matching and inherently lower noise. Because of their greater efficiency and Class D design, ComTech DriveCore Series amplifiers also produce less heat, a by-product of inefficient amplifier operation.
