This issue’s show reports take us from the largest tradeshow in the UK, PLASA, all the way over to the opposite side of the world for Integrate in Sydney. We also make a stop somewhere in between for Prolight + Sound Shanghai. The floor plan for this year’s PLASA differed from last, with some companies choosing not to exhibit. However, this didn’t seem to affect visitor numbers, which stayed pretty much the same as last year. A selection of products made their UK debut, after being launched earlier in the year at Prolight + Sound, Frankfurt. You’ll find a round-up of these in our show report, as well as worldwide first from Midas. Integrate appeared to be quieter than last year. Perhaps its lower attendance figures were a result of biennial show, Entech, running a month earlier. Justin Gawne travelled to Sydney to discover what waves, if any, the Australian market is making. Next year will be a telling time for Integrate as it prepares to move location and expand its square footage. Without as much as a diverted plane, delay or drama, Rachael Rogerson made it to Shanghai for the Asian edition of Prolight + Sound (PL+S), confirming that 2010’s distrupted travel was simply a case of chance. Although the PL+S section seemed to be smaller in comparison to two years ago (the last time we made it to the show), there was actually a number of first time exhibitors, which is a good sign for the show.

Our Product Guide this issue looks at a traditionally busy category - Moving Heads. There is a great selection for you to browse through. And rounding off In Business with its usual eclecticism, the Directory is awash with new and innovative products.
