Visual Productions continued to promote CueCore, the lighting controller launched by the company earlier this year at Prolight + Sound, Frankfurt. The device is com- pletely solid-state, with no moving parts; it is an extremely secure and low-mainte- nance installation control solution with minimal power consumption. VXCO’s latest control software has multiple new and flexible features, and comes complete with the company’s low-priced entry level 128-channel DMX dongle. XTA showcased the DP548 Dynamic Audio processor together with DP4 series processors and the DC1048 installation audio manager. Also on demo was the iCore 2 software offering an installer friendly alternative to Audiocore including its custom panel functionality. PLASA saw three new products from Yamaha making their European debut. First was the StageMix 2.0 iPhone app, which offers a number of new features. Next was the announcement of the VS Series of installation loudspeakers, available in two models, and finally, Yamaha introduced the MY4-AEC Echo Canceller card. Zero 88 launched a new range of multipurpose lighting control consoles, the Solu- tion and Solution XL, whilst showing the most substantial update to the ZerOS software platform to date, ZerOS 7. The new ZeroWire CRMX, the first automated and adaptive wireless technology specifically developed for the lighting industry, and RDM working live on the ORB XF and Solution consoles, were also on display. PLASA will return to Earls Court on 9 - 12 September 2012.
