Hasbro pushes on with Transformers plans for 2012

2012 WILL BE a busy year for Transformers, with Hasbro continuing to support the brand at retail with new merchandise launches in key categories, fresh animation and a move into theme park-based entertainment. The introduction of a CGI show,
Transformers Prime, on Cartoon Network has meant that the property is now a year-round opportunity for retailers. A second series of the show is currently in development and Hasbro has secured an exclusive pan- European deal with TV Mania for apparel and accessories. Transformers will also expand into
the publishing space next autumn, while video games publisher Activision is lining up a Transformers: Fall of Cybertron game for autumn 2012. Further bolstering the brand, a

2012 DATED This year’s Licensing Awards will take place on September 11th in The Great Room, Grosvenor House Hotel. UP CHLOE’S CLOSET Moonscoop has appointed Golden Bear as the master toy licensee for its girls pre-school show, Chloe’s Closet. The deal will initially cover the UK and Ireland, with expansion to further European and worldwide territories planned.
