Mega Brands will continue to build on its pre-school range and licensed portfolio in 2012. With many new products and lines launching this year, the company will be revealing all of them at the Nuremberg. Mega’s core Maxi Pre-
school range, now to be branded First Builders, will see a number of new products emphasising numerous building
possibilities, fun learning and achievement. New products include new characters on vehicles, castor wheel ride-ons and extensions to its core bag and tub programmes.
In addition, Mega Bloks will be building on the Moshi Monsters brand with an enlarged product line, encouraging children to collect and grow the buildable Moshi Monster collection.
2012 will also see an expansion of the Hello Kitty licensed range, with the introduction of a new school product theme, designed for girls four and over. For the kids and collectors categories, Mega Bloks is licensed to launch a construction toy collection based on the epic fantasy massively multimedia online

role-playing game (MMORG), World of Warcraft. With gamer interaction at the centre of the game, fans can bring the locations, races and vehicles to life with the new range in 2012.
Mega Bloks will be driving its Halo
brand to new heights by synchronising its range with the upcoming launch of Halo 4. Additionally, a new licence for Mega Bloks is Power Rangers Samurai, which will become Super Samurai in 2012. With new modes, zords and battle
play, the number one boys action brand is set for a big year under the Mega Bloks licence.

LeapFrog’s new Touch Magic range of learning toys encourages children to make learning discoveries and develop key early skills through touch. Designed for toddlers aged two years and up, the range comprises interactive Discovery boards, a Discovery Bus and the Rockin’ Guitar. At the tap of a finger, the new line of toys comes to life, teaching children words, songs and games to aid learning around communities, music, letters and sounds. Following the success of the award- winning LeapPad console, LeapFrog will continue to promote the children’s tablet at the show, along with a new range of software, apps and accessories. LeapPad and its latest accessory range will continue to be stocked at all key retailers in 2012 after

The Hobbit toy and games line will launch pan-European-wide in Q4 to coincide with the launch of the first of two movies. Action figures, mini collectables, play-sets, vehicles, role- play sets and games are planned. Vivid’s new GyroBots boys toy range will be further supported by the Deluxe Battle Arena in August. Crayola enjoyed its highest ever market share in 2011 and now outsells any other UK kids stationery brand by five to one. The brand will be supported by 12 TV advertised lines in autumn of which five will be new. Vivid’s Lumi brand of on-trend light- up fashion jewellery will extend into autumn with two new TV advertised introductions, namely Glo-Earphones and Lumi Status Band.

Animagic enjoyed another record
year in 2011 with Newborns, Cassy and Fluffy Go Walkies enjoying record sales. Five TV advertised items will be featured in autumn with three new additions – Tessie Goes Trotting follows Fluffy and Cassy - while Pamper Pets adds fashion and bling. Additionally, Huggables will be available as classic Animagic interactive plush toys. Flufflings return for 2012 after a sell-
out intro year across Europe. Jiggle and Dance Flufflings will be TV advertised from August alongside the classic line. New for boys will be Smasha-Ballz -
rough and tumble feature plush for pre-school boys. Finally, Vivid plans to double the Moshi Monsters line in size in 2012, introducing over 30 new products.
Go MINI brings the iconic MINI into the world of toys. There are many different styles with fun features and individual names – from Go MINI Crew-Zers and Go MINI Freestylers to Wolf, the R/C Rally Car. Kids can watch the MINI Stunt Racers perform their own stunts and play with the Go MINI stunt launcher. New pre-school range, Bananas in
Pyjamas, features the pair of comical characters B1 & B2. As master toy licensee, Golden Bear will be showing its range of plush, plastic and feature toys; play-sets, dominoes, sketchers and The Bananas Playhouse with its many features.
Returning to Nuremberg is the My 1st
JCB range. Frankie Firetruck is the latest recruit to join the team, with five phrases, flashing light and sounds. Also new for 2012 is the On Site JCB
range, which features vehicles and accessories and two play-sets. The Crane Play-set and The Rock Loader Play-set can be attached together to create a bigger JCB world. At this year’s event, Golden Bear will also be showing their newly acquired licences Poppy Cat and Mike the Knight, together with on-going ranges Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, Peppa Pig, Driver Dan’s Story Train and Pingu.
