A GIRL FOR ALL TIME

A Girl for All Time is a new range of educational dolls which teach about historic periods of British history with accompanying novels.

Echoing history lessons taught at

Key Stage 2 – when pupils are between seven and 11 – this series of dolls begins with Matilda, Your Tudor Girl whom we meet in 1540 and who is the start of a maternal family tree of over 500 years of Marchmont women. We meet her decendants through

the rest of the series of dolls, all of whom live during other periods taught at Key Stage 2.

Matilda and her descendants lived

through the Tudor times. They dress in historically inspired fashions and write about their lives in novels which are told in a contemporary way. In addition to dolls, novels and additional costumes, each doll has a period-themed keepsake book which re-imagines each historical period for todays girl, to help stimulate play. Amelia, Your Victorian Girl will be launched in 2012 and will be followed by a further four dolls in the series.

Easy Model collectibles are ready-built

accurate replica models for those without the time to construct them. Road Signature diecast models cover popular 1/18, 1/24 and 1/43 scales and popular items such as the MG TC, VW Microbus, and Jaguar E Type.

The firm designs and manufactures the

Classix range of 1950s/1960s 1/76 scale diecast vehicles, Scenix OO Gauge Railway buildings, Conflix wargaming dioramas and EMHAR plastic models.

Three years ago Pocketbond acquired

Toyway, a company known for its range of dinosaurs. There are dinosaurs in all sizes including the monster size Jumbosaurs and the articulated Lords of the Earth. Timpo’s soft touch dinosaurs and a selection generic dinosaur toys such as the glow in the dark and stretchable dinos complete the range. Toyway Science & Nature range offers spy gadgets; the best sellers are the Two Way Spy Pen and Hands Free Listener.

2012 is the 100-year anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic and Academy Models has released a 1:400 scale Centenary Edition model of the vessel. In addition to the standard Academy kit this centenary model kit has real wooden decking and brass photo etched parts including white coloured railings. The layout of restaurants, public rooms and more are shown on the internal decks. A bonus 150-piece jigsaw adds a nice touch. Set to retail at around £99.99.
