Chatterback Games introduces a new concept to the traditional board game. A game for the 21st century, it combines the features of a traditional board, clues and tokens with digital technology, namely Revoicer – a voice recorder which instantly reverses what is spoken into it. 1800 clues are provided in nine colour coded subject categories. These are names of people, places, movies, TV programmes, songs, books or proverbs. The words are phonetically reversed with hilarious results. For example, ‘ertsnom/senkollerth’ becomes The Loch Ness Monster and ‘neggertiddid/yarspoo’ becomes Oops I Did It Again. The clues are printed backwards on one side of the Clue card and the answers in the corresponding positions on the other side of the card. Players play in teams of two or
more. One of the team reads a clue from a card into the Revoicer and plays it back. Fellow team members then try to work out the clue from the comical but recognisable playback. Teams collect tokens for correctly identifying the clues and then progress to the middle of the Board where they write and record their own backward- speaking clue from the cards provided, to win the game. F4K
F4K’s new toy ranges includes both indoor and outdoor play products. From the illuminated construction kits Laser Pegs to balance bikes. Laser Pegs is the first patented lighted construction brand. On show to the European toy market for the first time, Laser Pegs has been a hit in the US, with sales reputedly growing faster than any other construction toy. With its creative and abstract play, Laser Pegs is proving beneficial in helping children with autism. Each Laser Pegs piece, when attached to either a battery operated power unit or AC wall adapter, allows children to build creations that illuminate in a brightly coloured, LED light display.
New packaging, new models and designs such as ‘World of Bugs’, and features such as ‘Sound Cubes’, are being added to an expanding range which also sees the launch of ‘Stackables’; the link between Laser Pegs and other construction kits. Stackables connecting parts are fully compatible with other construction bricks, they can be stacked, connected side by side and added to other construction boards or pieces. Models built with a combination of the two light up. From Bugs to Balance Bikes. Fully patented, the Hobby-Bike (guide price £99.99) is a step up in size from
