JC Toys Group is a worldwide designer and manufacturer of a wide range of collectable dolls, specialty play items and play dolls and accessories. The firm is a family run and operated business that has continued to grow its product line to include many doll categories. The dolls were first introduced to the US market in the early 1980s. At the time the company and product was known by the name Berjusa. Recognisable brand names of dolls introduced at this time were Minene, Tunene. Later in the 80s dolls like the La Baby and the La Newborn were introduced. To this day the sculpting of all the


products is headed by the artistic direction of Salvador Berenguer. The Berenguer family name has been associated with doll design since the 1940s. Possessing the same natural talent for doll design as his father, Salvador Berenguer followed the family tradition of designing dolls.

By 1967 he began designing dolls and continues to do so today with remarkable creativity and an unending passion for perfection. The new 2012 JC Toys line is inspired


by the special moments that make babies wonderful and unique. All three of the collections - Collectables, Specialty and Play - have been expanded to include a wider variety of realistic baby dolls. In 2012 the company has focused not only on the facial sculpts, but also on presenting dolls in new poses. The 2011 doll line produced a few


favourites and Valentina was a crowd pleaser during the 2011 trade shows. The doll is dressed in a soft white onesie adorned with Swarovski crystals. Another popular addition to the 2011 line was Crawling Lola In the 2012 line, JC Toys is introducing new sculpts that give the dolls unique personalities. New knitted and themed outfits also set the line apart.
