Hornby Hobbies will be displaying its expanding range of Scalextric, Airfix, Corgi, Hornby model railway and London 2012 products at Toy Fair. Coming to London’s show in 2012 will be Olly the Little White Van products, a relaunched Corgi brand and a showcase of the Star Wars Scalextric. Star Wars products will be unveiled


at Toy Fair 2012. Show visitors will be able to get their first look at Micro and Start sets, as well as detailed and collectable solo models. Famous characters and iconic vehicles will be faithfully reproduced, with different sets for different age groups ranging from four years-old to adult. July 2011 saw Hornby Hobbies acquire the master toy rights for CiTV’s Olly the Little White Van. This 3D animated pre- school series will be brought to life with a full range of toys from early 2012, set to include individual characters and die-cast vehicles of Olly and all his friends, plastic push along vehicles and jigsaw puzzles. The range is due to expand even further throughout 2012. Visitors to Hornby’s stand will also be able to view Corgi’s new British toy range. Over 50 years since its first models hit shelves, the classic toy brand brings a range engineered specifically for the child of today. Made from die-cast metal this range of vehicular toys will have authentic British liveries, focused on what children see in the street, in cities and in rural communities.

The HTI stand showcases some of the firm’s most innovative new product developments in the Roleplay, Dolls’ Prams and Pushchairs, Vehicles and Wheeled categories as well as some key lines from its Global Partnership deals. Brand new for autumn/winter 2012


HTI presents a range of wheeled toys from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, a colourful range of Minnie Mouse wheeled toys and dolls’ prams and pushchairs for autumn/winter 2012. HTI also has a range of Everything’s


Rosie wheeled toys and dolls’ prams, including a three-wheel Scooter with bag featuring Rosie and Raggles, ten- inch and 12-inch Bikes with Rosie’s hair tassels plus other fun items. The firm’s Peppa Pig range has been


refreshed with new product colourways and fabric design and introduces over ten new items for 2012. The Pull-Along Vacuum features light and sound effects, whirling dust balls and real suction. HTI has a full range of Winnie the


Pooh roleplay toys targeted at children aged 18 months to four years. The Hunny Pot Picnic Set features bee sounds as the lid opens and contains picnic party accessories including stackable sandwiches. Also available is the Push- along Activity Mower and Market Stall, which has activities and interactive features to promote pre-school learning. HTI will be showing a range of Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom roleplay toys and


dolls’ prams and pushchairs. The new musical keyboard features a Princess Holly mould, light up effect, musical melodies and the Ben and Holly theme. The Mamas & Papas range features the new nursery purple and pink ‘Sugar Spot’ pattern. The range introduces the Urbo pram which switches from pram to pushchair, the Luna three-wheel stroller and the Skate pram. HTI’s Tatty Teddy role-play toys include a Picnic Tea Set, Hair Care Case, Doctors Case, Baking Set and Dressing Table, all featuring bespoke sculpting and unique design elements. The entire Hello Kitty range has been


refreshed for 2013 with a striking new style guide and 30 per cent of products are new. The Magic Oven allows girls to cook up a treat with Kitty: the bow-shaped loaf rises, popcorn pops and cupcakes sparkle. The line will be advertised on TV through Q4 2012. Other new lines include a pull-along fabric Shopping Trolley, a Tin Tea Party Picnic Case, Sweet Treats Food Bar, Magic Bakery, Musical Keyboard and ‘Bella’ dolls pram. Following on from the success of the JCB Multi Construct range, HTI introduces the Mighty Lift Crane. A 106- piece set including a battery-operated drill, boys can build and rebuild the crane into lots of different JCB vehicles. HTI will also introduce a brand new segment to the JCB range for 2012 – JCB Connecting World.

The Corgi launch includes 40


different vehicles, many with official licences including Land Rover, Mercedes, BMW and Scania. The


range’s themes include emergency services, in the city, agriculture, military and construction. Ready to ship in Q2 of 2012, the line-up will comprise solo


vehicles SRP £2, five packs SRP £10 and four different play sets SRP £15 that include two vehicles, a plastic building and a quality wipe clean play mat.
