TOTAL LICENSING
TOONBOX TO D EBUT
BOLTS & BLIP PROGRAM
With ToonBox Entertainment’s new series Bolts & Blip now in
full production, the company is actively pursuing global licen-
sees and agents to complement the program. After recently
closing a co-production deal with Korean-based multi-media
giant CJU Entertainment, who will now handle global sales,
ToonBox is now ready to focus on worldwide licensing and
merchandising opportunities.
The 26 x 30 minute 3D animated program, which is aimed at
the six to thirteen demographic, lends itself to a wide variety
of products and ToonBox will be pursuing all lines of mer-
chandising with a focus on consumer electronics, robotic toys,
video/handheld games, water toys and action figures among
others.
Canada-based ToonBox’s first licensing venture is with inter-
nationally renowned gaming company Dragonfly, which is cur-
rently developing an online game based on the characters. The
game will be released in September this year.
Bolts & Blip follows the adventures of best friends Blip and
Bolts as they are whisked into the coveted Lunar League of
Robotic sports. Although they are not cut out for the league,
the two friends work together and with the help of their
teammates, find out that they can accomplish great things as they embrace each other’s talents and flaws. A trailer for the

year’s MIPTV, located in the Korean Pavilion. In addition, ToonBox is in development for a stereoscopic feature film based
on the Blip characters which will lend itself to another tier of licensing and merchandising including home entertainment
and corporate tie-ins such as fast-food restaurants.

PPC Enterprises in the UK has announced details of a deal to feature Monty Python on a new range
of T-shirts. Python is celebrating its 40
th
birthday this year and classic catchphrases such as ‘And Now
for Something Completely Different’ and ‘Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition’, have entered the
lexicon. Cult Python films such as The Life of Brian and Monty Python and the Holy Grail have legions
of followers. Python is also reaching out to a whole new generation of fans through the internet -
with the creation of an official Monty Python channel on Youtube. Free Python clips are now available
to fans and PPCE have set up a series of Python licensing deals, including apparel, voice key chains,
and dress-up. The new deal will see Famous Forever Clothing producing a range of licensed Monty
Python T-shirts for sale in high street names including Next, Littlewoods, and ASOS.
