NEW RAFT OF LICENSEES FOR WAYBULOO

ARCHIE’S STARAOKE COMMISSIONED
Turner Broadcasting has announced it has commissioned six European versions of Staraoke. A total of 78
x 30-minute episodes of the show will be produced by Archie Productions. This is Archie Productions’
first major commission since launching last year.
Staraoke represents a development in the genre of music entertainment, with Archie adapting the format
to create a big-budget light entertainment series. The ßsix territories set to broadcast Staraoke are the UK,
Germany, Italy, Spain, France and Poland. Aimed at 7 – 11 year olds, each week two teams will battle head-head
to win prizes. Staraoke will be hosted by two presenters – one playing with each team – who in the UK have been
confirmed as experienced and popular kids’ presenters Laura Hamilton and Nigel Clarke.
