A UNIVERSE OF CREATIVITY FROM TOONZIP
Toonzip from South Korea was established in 2006 and was formerly known as Trunk
Animation. Since it opened its doors, the company has been a powerhouse of highly
talented digital artists who have been creating a wide variety of productions from
digital animation to online game projects.
Where children are, Toonzip wants to be there! The company concentrates on fantasy
productions for the young, and for older audiences. However, the center of their busi-

its animated characters, such as Toonzip’s banner animation Robot Arpo.
Robot Arpo is a rocket-propelled warrior robot with state-of-the-art weaponry con-
cealed in an indestructible titanium body program with a single deadly purpose of
vaporizing all humans he can find in the capital of the global government of earth to
pave way to ultimate robot rule. Whilst this futuristic animated sitcom is in theory a
violent animated series, a simple twist creates trouble for the bloodthirsty renegade
robot and brings new hope and harmony amongst robots and humans.
Robot Arpo is a family oriented comic adventure sitcom in full 3D TV animation for-
mat with 52 HD-format episodes targeting 6 to 11 years old viewers who love com-
edy, action and animation. It will debut around the world in 2010.
LICENSING FACTORY EVENT TO DEBUT IN SEPTEMBER
The first Licensing Factory: New Europe International Licensing Summit and Festival will take place in Rovinj, Croatia
from 22 to 25 September this year.
The event, which also includes a exhibit area and a conference will concentrate on the lesser developed markets of
central and eastern Europe, with specific territories including Albania, Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and
Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyr-
gyzstan, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Malta, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia,
Slovenia, Turkey, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
These countries comprise over 400 million inhabitants and the organisers of Licensing Factory see an enormous op-
portunity for licensors and agents – particularly with more traditional markets in Europe and the United States on
somewhat of a downturn.
The event will take place in Rovinj, on the Croatian Mediterranean coast and will
comprise a major summit of leading retailers from the ‘New European’ territo-
ries, together with seminars and workshops designed specifically to educate local
professionals in a practical way on areas such as IP, legal issues, business issues and
marketing.
