RoomIt brings in additional content sources beyond the GDS to offer more rates, more locations and more choice. The expanded coverage around the globe provides access to over 800,000 business-friendly properties in 74,000 cities, including optional apartments. RoomIt Rates pairs significant discounts with business-friendly amenities and offer clients additional savings opportunities, especially in less frequently travelled cities that do not warrant negotiated rates. RoomIt Rates include a minimum of six standard amenities, including last room availability, and a substantial discount off the best available rate. To help drive higher compliance, RoomIt’s Loyalty Booster programme gives business travellers the opportunity to earn additional hotel loyalty points with their favourite programmes.

TMC description

In 1984, Carlson Companies of Minneapolis and the Paris-based Accor Group combined their business travel interests, which shared more than 200 years of history between them, under the name Carlson Wagonlit Travel. Since then the company has grown organically and through the acquisition of companies including Navigant International and Maritz Travel. Today, companies and governments rely on Carlson Wagonlit Travel to keep their people connected. The company “provides travellers with a consumer-grade travel experience, combining innovative technology with vast experience”.

The company says that each day it looks after enough travellers to fill almost 200 Boeing 747s and around 100,000 hotel rooms and handle 95 corporate events.
