Inspiring trends Recognised for providing access to the industry’s foremost thought leaders, the In-Cosmetics Global conference programme will offer technical insights and market intelligence into the latest trends. A focus on sustainable beauty in the Sustainability Corner will see speakers from DSM, Roquette Beauté, Laboratoires Expanscience, Lubrizol Life Science and Cargill BioIndustrial take to the stage to examine how the industry is working towards a more radically sustainable business structure. Among the sessions, Day Two will
welcome Bénédicte Sennelier-Portet, R&D manager for green fractionation at Givaudan Active Beauty, who will discuss how circular beauty is paving the way to sustainability through responsible innovation. Focusing on botanicals and biotech, she will detail how a focus on upcycling, waste-free design and full valorisation of plants is aiding the business in its efforts to make a ‘land-positive’ impact by optimising the utilisation of selected natural resources. Delivering exclusive presentations by
raw material suppliers, the event’s Technical Seminars will offer a full programme of in-person sessions. Among the speakers confirmed to deliver a comprehensive look at the latest trends backed by scientific evidence, is Jennifer Schild, global head of product development and applied innovation - active ingredients at Evonik. Her session will detail the company’s innovations in the ceramide field, namely barrier acting ceramides which are the first line of protection of skin and hair; bioactive ceramides and sphingolipids that act in the inner skin barriers; and double-action solutions that act both on the surface and deeper layers of the skin.

There are two guided tours and trails at the show this year Fellow speaker, Roberta Maria Donadelli,
R&D director at B&C, will provide attendees with a look at the ambitious neurocosmetic project that examines how the treatment of the skin, body and soul could be solved by a holistic key. ‘Holism’ is defined as part of the whole neurocosmetic which unlocks certain emotions through the use of textures or scents. Here, essential oils, are indicated as useful thanks to their great transcutaneous diffusibility and their incredible diffusive power. Meanwhile, Sekyoo Jeong, director and CTO at Incospharm, will introduce ‘Cannabitmetrics – Biotech- made cannabis mimetics from natural oils’. A full schedule of topics and speakers is now available on the website. Bringing together talented formulators and R&D specialists, the Formulation Lab will once again offer carefully curated sessions to help attendees learn new formulation techiques. Sponsored by Brenntag, the sessions are open exclusively to R&D professionals from cosmetic or contract manufacturers. With sessions exploring how to make sustainability tangible, harnessing the power of the forest for ethical and sustainable hair care, to versatile surfactants for natural and mild cleansing, limited spaces will be available with booking set to open shortly.
New hybrid approach Following feedback from attendees at events held online over the past 24 months, this year’s In-Cosmetics Global will take a new hybrid approach to learning and sourcing with a combination of in-person and digital opportunities. This means after three packed days of in-person innovation, In-Cosmetics Global will open its virtual doors to the industry from 11-22 April. Here, attendees can discover the digital
counterparts to selected in-person show features. In addition, all new learning opportunities via the event’s Marketing Trends seminar programme will offer attendees access to the latest industry trends, facts, figures, market analysis, and research data. This will also allow attendees to continue the conversation and catch up on seminar sessions missed at the show.
