Trading is at the core of what we do. Esports specifically is a difficult area to grasp. Tere aren't many traders out there who are sufficiently experienced in esports because it takes a long time to learn the craft and culture of what's happening in the games.
Adding to the complicated nature of esports is the fact it's a rapidly developing genre where games update regularly compared to a traditional sport like football or tennis where the rules don't change nor the landscape shift too often. Within esports, it's means you must live and breathe it. We've always traded esports in-house, and we've kept that going with our product offerings for traditional sports and virtual sports.
Tis approach enables us to be more specific: we can ensure our pricing is more accurate and localised for different markets, in turn allowing us to offer clients a more personalised offering. Not only is it much more accurate than trying to rely on a third-party team – being in-house allows us to better understand where our risks are. Te risk management team has better information around the quality of the bets being struck, meaning we deliver a more profitable solution for clients. We don’t want to feel that outsourcing was an opportunity we should have taken, especially since it would mean losing some of the flexibility that enables us to deliver the best possible product – and that is truly our focus.

AI has been a valuable asset for the company and will remain so for some time, staying at the forefront of many of our models because the volume of data we're receiving is ever-increasing. For a human to

process all that data, put it into algorithms, and micromanage prices would be an extremely difficult undertaking. Te AI systems we utilise predict prices based on ever-changing data points, essentially moving prices in advance of any manual or human inputs that might be required. Tis allows us to automate more with oversight from our traders to ensure everything is moving in the right direction and we're competitive in the marketplace. It helps us to be first market movers, especially on the pre-event side of the business.
We can be early with pricing ahead of any of our competitors. Another key consideration for us is uptime. What we find in the marketplace is that, because the data takes time to process and again has, in general, a lot of manual oversight, we don't see a lot of uptime in certain markets, resulting in a loss of revenue for operators.
