Year 7 (continued) 7.4

Miss Stafford – A great term, with great progress made by 7.4. It’s good to see students engaging with extra-curricular activities across the school and the continuing enthusiasm for learning. I’m really proud of 7.4, keep it up!

Lilly Dimambro – I have enjoyed Matravers because I had the opportunity to perform at West Wilts and be filmed at Matravers theatre for Dance in Action. Matravers is great and all the teachers are extremely supportive.

Callum Slade – At Dance in Action CBBC filmed us, it was really amazing to dance amongst a group of talented dancers.

Tillie Chalke – I’m really proud of overcoming my fear of exam week. I have really enjoyed talking about Careers and discussing what to do to get there. All you have to do is believe and you will succeed!

Brendan Webb – I have enjoyed playing on scratch, we have been programming and making Pac-Man games. I have also really enjoyed art where we have been making seed pots out of clay.

7.5

Mrs Wallbridge – 7.5 - Making Dreams Come True. We certainly have been working on our dreams over the last term. Many of our tutor group have been successful at receiving their Core Values badges which they can now proudly wear on their blazers. I am very proud of the resilience of our tutor group in presenting yet another very challenging assembly. Every time we tackle something like this it makes me very proud to be your tutor as I see you working together, supporting each other and showing how kind and remarkable you truly are. We’ve made it through our second round of revision and assessment during which I have seen some brilliant ambition with revision timetables being made and followed. I continue to be very thankful to be part of this year group and in particular of our 7.5 family.

Estera Bednarz – I really enjoy being in Matravers! I thought it would be really hard to get used to a new school so quickly but because there are a lot of nice students and teachers I’ve got used to the school way quicker than I thought. I’m so happy that I’ve joined this school.

Ellie-Rose Pringle – Matravers School is a safe place to be in. It’s a calm and peaceful area. Everyone is happy and grateful for this amazing school. When you start here in September it might be scary, but all of the older students and teachers are so kind and welcoming. I’m so glad I’m in this school, all my new friends are amazing and I have Matravers to thank for that.

Mia Dykes-Brown – Matravers has been a stunning experience. All of these months here have made me become more mature and to take a step forward into my life. Matravers has been the best thing ever!

Jayah Dowling – This term I have enjoyed representing the school in the netball team and have really enjoyed getting player of the match and scoring a lot of goals!

CELEBRATION ASSEMBLY Year 7 enjoyed their first ever Matravers Celebration Assembly. Pupils came together to take part in a plethora of fun filled activities as well as receiving a range of awards for excellence in subjects and nominations by tutors for tutee of the term and then the award given by Mrs Thorne, Mrs Davies and Mr Anderson respectively – the year group leadership team. Each tutor group took part in the assembly in a variety of ways. We even had one group sing to us in Spanish!

Next term’s assembly has the focus of music and so I am ready looking forward to the delights the students will bring to this occassion.
