Year 9 (continued)

UPCOMING EVENTS On the 22nd March Year 9 will be taking part in their “Little Interview.” Each student will have an interview with a local employer. For most students this will be their first experience of an interview situation so tutors are working hard to prepare all the students. They have been exploring their employability skills and writing their CVs. Whilst some students have found it hard to choose what they might want to explore as a possible future job I have been surprised by how many already have a clear idea and by how professionally they have approached the tasks. Once their CVs are completed they will be practising interview questions to fully prepare them for their experience.

YEAR 10 OPTIONS The options process is now largely complete. Following a series of assemblies to introduce new courses and the overwhelming attendance at both options evening and parents evening, students have now completed and submitted their options forms. The outcome of this process will be shared with students and parents by the time this newsletter is published but if there are any questions relating to options please do encourage your child to come and speak with me.
