C-J Button – I felt really proud when I got my first Core Values badge because it meant I had demonstrated the school’s core values.
Amber Gates – When I performed in the dance festival I felt proud that the dance we had been creating and rehearsing for months could be performed in front of an audience. It was an amazing experience!
Ashleigh Cockram – It was lots of fun meeting everyone here at Matravers in the first term, but I felt really proud of myself when I finally managed to receive my Core Values badge!
Lucy Parker - My memorable inspiring moments were becoming a librarian and helping out in the library, because that means I can see and meet other people and also have a responsibility of my own. This makes me really happy because I like being prepared for real life situations.
Year group comments - 7.1
Miss Cummings For our last assembly I took a back seat and let my students have full control over what they would like to do. Most of the students took on this role with pride and produced some fantastic ideas and rehearsed in their free time for the part they wanted to play. They showed great dedication, independence, creativity and responsibility.
Skye Greatwood – Memorable moment is when I went to the care home to sing with the choir. It made me feel happy and I loved how caring the workers were to the people who stayed there.
Callum Ball – Ever since I have came to Matravers I have been able to build my confidence and have met lots of new people.
7.2
7.2 saw the departure of one tutor and the arrival of a new one this term as they said goodbye to Mr Lord and hello to Mr Bunce! Despite starting at Matravers in January, Mr Bunce was not immediately allocated a tutor group, so he was delighted to discover that with the departure of Mr Lord there was a vacancy. The students of 7.2 came with a strong reputation as a group of positive and enthusiastic individuals and so far Mr Bunce is pleased to say that 7.2 have not disappointed! They have adapted well to the change and impressed him with their generosity of spirit, kindness to others and focussed attitude to all tasks and activities set in tutor time. Long may this continue!

Abigail Doughty – I loved getting my Core Values pin badge in assembly. I felt extremely proud to receive this badge. I will remember the moment forever.
Mia-May Sanders – I enjoyed getting my Core Values badge in assembly. I felt very proud.
Chelsea Stevens – My highlight was getting the Tutee of the Week award. I never thought I’d get it but I did.
7.3
Mr Price – I am so proud of my tutees who show a consistent dedicated and positive attitude to their studies and their involvement in the school.
This term can be difficult for some (particularly post Christmas, cold dark days and with the recent disruption of the Snow Days) but a number of 7.3 have really shone and continue to impress me with their ‘can do’ and ‘will do’ attitude.
Ciaran Wilson – I love ALL art lessons.
Lily Jones – I liked meeting lots of different teachers and learning new subjects, like Textiles and of course making new friends.
Alfie Lee – It’s great being a part of Team 7.3, we have a motto and an anthem, we take care of each other.
Kiera Vercoe – I was really proud to win the ice-skating trip, it showed that our good behaviour paid off!
Erin Beeson – I liked singing to the elderly people in their home.
Courtneigh Meadows – Dance and trampolining clubs are great!
