Generation What? 1st Steering Group Meeting
he next ABU’s RadioAsia Conference will be held from 26-28 April 2017 in Bangkok and will be hosted by the National Broadcasting Services of
Thailand (NBT). The event will be comprised of a two and a half-day conference and two workshops conducted by members and industry partners. Exceptionally, the 5th ABU Radio Song Festival will not take place in 2017 in Thailand due to the demise of the Thai King. Further details will be communicated later.

he ex-Copyright Committee, now renamed the Intellectual Property and Legal Committee (IPLC) will take place from 10-12 April 2017 in Tashkent. This will be the first meeting
of the renamed committee and members are invited to participate within this enlarged mandate of this committee by their Copyright and Legal Department. The theme of the committee is yet to be finalised and the ABU is inviting suggestions on issues making headlines in the broadcasting sector or the Intellectual world.
At the same time, the 3rd ABU Central Asia Media Forum (CAMF) will be held at the same venue in Tashkent. The initial preparations for the event have just started and we will be announcing the details to our members shortly. The two day CAMF event comprising of a pre-conference day of workshops and a full day conference, will address topics of interest to our members and the media industry in the region.
