BTEC Level 3 Diploma in
Travel and Tourism On this course, you will learn the skills, knowledge and understanding required for a range of roles in organisations within the travel and tourism sector. These include accommodation, transport, retail travel and visitor attractions. The qualification also enables progression to undergraduate degree qualifications and professional occupations in tourism-related fields. You will also develop personal qualities essential for career development and progression within the sector and learn the appropriate knowledge and skills including locational geography, customer service, business skills and industry practices.
Entry requirements: BTEC Level 2 Diploma (merit) or 4 GCSEs at grades A-C (one of which should be English).
Possible next steps: University, undergraduate courses or into employment in Travel and Tourism.
Bridging the Gap HCC is part of a network of 60+ colleges training people up to work as event stewards, door supervisors, spectator safety staff or CCTV operators during the Games. If you graduate a Bridging the Gap course and get accredited by April 2012, you will be guaranteed an interview with a security company working in London during the 2012 Games.
