Entry 2 in Construction
(Skills for Working Life) This is an Entry Level vocational certificate course made up of individual units. It’s a multi-trade course including painting and decorating, brickwork, carpentry and joinery, motor vehicle and cleaning science, offering a taster to help you to decide which trade to specialise in. Functional Skills in maths and English are built into the crafts alongside the underpinning trade knowledge, health and safety and ICT. An additional qualification, BTEC Award in Sport, runs alongside the timetable which emphasises the importance of team work. The course is designed to help you settle into college life and progress is based on strong tutorials and personal development.
Entry requirements: College interview and assessment – no formal qualifications are necessary.
Possible next steps: Entry 3 in Brickwork, Carpentry and Joinery, Motor Vehicle or Painting and Decorating.
