Performing Arts


BTEC Performing Arts students received a standing ovation for their brilliant rendition of the legendary musical Cabaret, which they performed at the Hoxton Hall for their end of year show.


BTEC Level 2 Diploma in


Performing Arts This course offers comprehensive practical and theoretical training which includes drama and dance modules. You will study a range of practical workshops. There are also lots of performance opportunities and you’ll have the chance to work with professionals in the industry.


Entry requirements: Audition, plus a good standard of English and maths supported by a general education equivalent to level 1.


Possible next steps: Level 3 courses or employment.


BTEC Level 3 Subsidiary Diploma / Diploma in


Performing Arts This course runs over two years and provides an opportunity to develop real work skills in dance, acting and musical theatre, so that you can move on to a higher level qualification in this area or into the performing arts professions. Held on the Shoreditch Campus with top facilities, tutors and practising artists, it covers a broad range of musical theatre, acting and dance skills delivered through workshop and studio teaching. At the end of the first year, you can complete the Subsidiary Diploma and then progress to the Diploma in year 2.


Entry requirements: 4 GCSEs at grades A-C, or BTEC Level 2 Diploma (merit); plus an audition and interview.


Possible next steps: Foundation Degree, Degree or employment.
