HCC Fashion student Izras Peter Dixon has enjoyed a long string of success since establishing his own knitwear collection called Izras Lee. He has sold some of his avant-garde pieces to an on-line eco-friendly boutique called Lost Values after being spotted at the recent London Fashion Week.

BTEC Extended Diploma in Fashion & Clothing (level 3) This course covers a broad range of subjects relevant to the fashion industry. You will study 18 units that include: visual communication, fashion illustration, textiles, garment construction, pattern cutting, marketing, computers in design and the history of art/fashion. The course includes practical projects, written work and off-site gallery research. You’ll be expected to devote some of your spare time to further develop your skills and expertise.
Entry requirements: You will normally need to have at least one of the following: a good standard of maths and English supported by a general education equivalent to at least four GCSEs at grade A–C, level 2 qualifications or related work experience.
Possible next steps: Foundation course, BA Hons Degree or employment.
