AS / A2 Media Studies This exciting course includes producing and analysing film, television and print media and investigating the impact that these have on our society. Modules include: practical video work, new technology, research projects, exams on textual analysis and investigations into a range of current media issues.
Entry requirements: 5 GCSEs at grade A–C, including English.

AS / A2 Physics The course looks at the concepts of physics through its applications in areas like: music, satellites, sport, food production, archaeology, surgery, transport, communications, particle physics, astrophysics and seismology. Each module illustrates the relevance of physics to social, philosophical, economic and industrial matters. Information technology and data logging are also important components of this course.

AS / A2 Psychology Psychology is an exciting bridge between the humanities and the sciences and is designed for people who want to develop psychological skills and knowledge which can be applied to real life situations. Topics include relationships, sleep and dreaming, social and personality development, individual differences and perspectives, cognitive and developmental psychology, physiological psychology and individual differences, social psychology and research methods.
Entry requirements: 5 GCSEs at grade A–C, including English preferably at grade B and one humanities subject.

AS / A2 Religious Studies An introduction to fundamental questions and important ideas involved in the study of religion. You will develop critical thinking and analytical skills necessary for success in social science subjects at A2. You will cover:1. The Philosophy of Religion – this module focuses on the different ways people have tried to answer philosophical questions from a religious point of view. 2. Religious Ethics: in this module you will consider the ways in which people make moral decisions, and the influences of religious belief on morality. You will also apply different moral theories to contemporary ethical dilemmas.
