BTEC Level 2 Diploma in IT This one-year course is designed to familiarise you with the IT sector and the major IT applications. It also prepares you to progress to higher level IT courses. There is potential for the qualification to prepare learners for employment in the vocational sector. You will cover six units including: web development, information and computer systems, ICT graphics, databases and spreadsheets.
Entry requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade D or above.

BTEC Level 3 Extended
Diploma in IT This is a two-year course that prepares you for further academic study at University. There is potential for the qualification to prepare you for employment in the vocational sector and it is suitable for people who have decided that they wish to enter a particular area of work in IT. Depending on your interest and performance in the first year, you will join either the software development pathway or the IT and business pathway for the second year.
Entry requirements: 4 GCSEs at grade C or BTEC Level 2 Diploma (with a final grade of merit or above).
