Pre-ACCESS to Nursing and Health Science edexcel BteC level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care

This is a practical, work-related course in which you learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations.


The course consists of six units which include: communication and individual rights within health and social care, anatomy and physiology, human lifespan and development, cultural diversity in health and social care, creative activities in health and social care and the impact of diet on health. The course also contains functional skills in communication, it and numeracy. english support forms a key element.


Entry requirements: Previous study at Level 1 or other equivalent relevant qualification. Applicants will undergo a written communications and Maths assessment as part of the enrolment process.


Next steps: Progress on to a related aCCess course such as in nursing, Health and Human Science or Social Work, then on to higher education in the caring/health sector.
