Music Production Higher National Certificate

This course caters for students with a background in sound engineering or music programming. You will study production techniques, advanced programming and editing, sound to picture and current developments within the music business.
Students will develop a range of skills, techniques and personal attributes essential for successful performance in working life.
The programme comprises ten modules as follows: Applied Music Production Techniques, Audio Post- Production Techniques, Computer Music Compositions and Production, Computer music systems, music in Context, Creative Arts Research Skills, Live Sound For Small Venues, Music Business in the 21st Century, Music Studio Production, Music Technology. Modules may change in 2011.
Entry requirements: One from the following: an A2 Level; two AS Levels; a merit in a BteC national in a related subject area. Potential students must demonstrate an enthusiasm for the subject, a willingness to study outside the course hours, and a commitment to the course.
Next steps: Students can progress onto a university course or into music based employment. This includes Music Production, Sound to Picture, Sound engineering or audio-Visual support.

in this introduction to the world of show- business, you will learn to plan, promote, publicise and run your own events as well as take part in several performances.

Performing Arts edexcel BteC level 2 diploma
16-18 | L2 | 1Y | W | SEP |)|
This one year course involves an introduction to dance, musical theatre, voice and acting training.
All assessment is based on the rehearsal and performance process in your individual production company. Throughout the course there are workshops from external companies, visits to various theatre productions and a connection with Battersea Arts Centre, which involves at least one performance a year at this prestigious venue. With successful completion, you can progress to a related advanced course.

Entry requirements: You will need gCes passes (four ds including english) in relevant subjects, a BteC introductory Diploma or a related Level 1 qualification.
