This course is for experienced plumbers who need a qualification or for students who meet the Level 2 entry requirements. As well as learning how to work safely students will cover units including: installing, testing and maintaining pipe systems, materials and components; copper, plastic and steel pipes; lead work; rain water systems; controls, storage vessels and appliances; hand tools; joining by heat, compression, threaded fittings and solvents; install bathroom, central heating and sanitation equipment.
Entry requirements: Preferably three gCse passes (grade C or above) or level 1 or relevant experience.
Next steps: employment or a level 3 course.

Electrical Installation City & guilds 2330 Certificate in electro-technical technology

This course is for budding electricians and covers electrical installation technology and principles, plus practical work. The course will give a broad introduction to most of the materials and techniques used in domestic, commercial and industrial electrical installations in the UK. You will also receive instruction and practice installing circuits and materials on brick and concrete walls and plasterboard ceilings. The relevant regulations will be covered throughout the course.
Entry requirements: gCses at grade a - C, including Maths.
Next steps: Cgli 2330 level 3 or work in the electrical contracting or maintenance industries.

Electro-technical Services emta diploma
ALL | L3 | 1Y | W | FT | SEP |)| The course aims to develop skills, knowledge and understanding in the key principles and practices of electrical systems, health and safety, electronic inspection, testing and commissioning techniques, fault diagnosis and rectification. it builds on skills and knowledge attained in Level 2 and the qualification provides the underpinning knowledge requirement for the Level 3 nVQ in electro-technical services.
Entry requirements: You will need to hold the City & guilds 2330 level 2.
Next steps: Higher level courses in a related subject or employment in the electrical contracting or maintenance industries.
