Beauty Therapy diploma in Beauty therapy (nVQ) Level 3

This course is aimed at those interested in pursuing a supervisory career in the beauty industry. it covers advanced aspects of beauty treatments including: health and safety; promotion of products or service; epilation; massage therapy; and electrical treatments to the face and body. Students are also encouraged to combine this course with a minimum of 2 days work a week in a salon.
Entry requirements: Competence in NVQ Level 2 Beauty. On receipt of an application an interview will be arranged and held along with an aptitude and a dexterity test.
Next steps: Level 4 Beauty qualification, full-time employment or university.

Hairdressing Certificate in hairdressing (nVQ) Level 1

This course provides students with skills that are required to become a trainee within the hairdressing industry. it comprises four mandatory units which include: health and safety; effective working relationships; shampooing and conditioning; and preparation for hairdressing/ barbering. Students will also be offered two of the following units: assisting with salon reception duties; blow drying hair; plaiting and braiding; assisting with hair colouring services.
Your practical training will take place in our brand new salon. Students will attend exhibitions and enter external competitions.
Entry requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this course. However, you must have good communication skills.
Next steps: NVQ 2 in Hairdressing/ Barbering or Beauty Level 2.
