if you are interested in art and design as a career this introductory course will help develop your skills and abilities.


You will study: Drawing, Painting, Media studies, media production, graphic design, Computer graphics, 3d design, Textiles and Fashion, Photography, Art and Design History. You will have the chance to create and animate your own super-hero characters, organise your own photography shoot and design your own accessories.


Next steps: Continue onto a higher level course.


Entry requirements: You need three gCse passes (e-g grades) or a relevant entry level qualification.

Graphic Design edexcel BteC level 2 diploma

if you have an interest in the world of design and graphics and photography in particular, this course will give you the start you need. The course is made up of six units, including four compulsory units in 2D and 3D Communication, Vocational Context, exploring and developing ideas, Producing Outcomes and specialism options in graphics and photography.


Next steps: The course prepares you for employment and provides a good grounding to go on to more advanced courses such as a BteC national Certificate. With further training or study students go into careers including advertising, marketing, graphic design, Fabric/Textile Design, Freelance photography or interior design.


Entry requirements: You will need two gCse passes (grade d or above) in relevant subjects; a BteC introductory Diploma or a related Level 1 qualification; or related work experience.

Art & Design edexcel BteC level 3 diploma ALL | L3 | 2Y | W | SEP |)|


if you have an interest in fashion, graphics, 3D or Fine Art and want to build on your skills and qualifications to go on to higher education then this is the course for you. The course will give you a chance to build a portfolio of work. The course is made up of a number of modules, each covering a different aspect of art and design. There are eight core units and ten specialist units to be completed, these may include: Visual Recording, Materials, Techniques and processes, ideas and Concepts, Visual Communication, Contextual influences.


Next steps: Successful students progress on to Pre-Degree Foundation courses, BA Art and Design courses or HNC/HND courses. in some cases you can move straight in to work related areas.


Entry requirements: Four gCse passes (a - C grades) in relevant subjects; or a related Level 2 qualification.

Art and Design edexcel BteC Foundation Diploma

This course is intended to enable students to progress on to a B.a. (hons) degree or Foundation Degree course in a wide range of Art, Craft and Design specialisms. The course comprises nine units: information and research; recording and responding; media experimentation; information and interpretation; personal experimental studies; extended media development in art and design; preparation and progression; integrating theory and practice; and personal confirmatory study.
