The Advice Centre staff welcome drop-ins as well as e-mail and telephone enquiries. Appointments can be made for more in depth personal counselling, welfare advice or career guidance.
Counselling and WelFare adViCe
The College Counsellors offer confidential one-to-one counselling to students in accordance with the British Association of Counselling and psychotherapy (BaCp) code of practice. The Welfare Advisers provide an impartial, confidential and professional welfare advice service on a wide range of issues. These staff can also refer you on to specialist services for more in-depth assistance where necessary e.g. legal or health care services.

Student Services can be found by the main reception entrances at Merton, Roehampton, Tooting and Wandsworth campus/centres. Staff there can help you with:
• Course and College information
• student id cards and processing payments for replacement cards
• learner support Fund applications, including childcare
• emas (educational maintenance allowances), algs (adult learning grants) Care 2 learn
• transport for london (tFl) applications
• nus extra card applications
• support enquiry Forms (to arrange a confidential interview to discuss support for disability, learning difficulty and/or medical condition)
• Fee and materials payment on full-time courses
• enrolment and fee payment on most part-time courses
• Fee payment for examination entries
Debra Cook
Debra Cook is Student Services Manager for the College and was awarded ‘Best Support Staff Member of the Year’ by her colleagues in 2010. It’s not just the teachers that are here to help you, and support staff like Debra are integral to college life. Debra oversees the student services team and education advisors at the Wandsworth and Roehampton centres. She is responsible for ensuring that students get the best possible experience whilst at college and says her biggest challenge is ensuring that students leave happy and with a good experience of the College. Look out for Debra around campus – she’s always around to help.
