Hairdressing diploma in hairdressing (nVQ) Level 3

if you are already a hairdresser and would like to take your knowledge and skills to the next level, then this is the course for you. it aims to provide you with a high level of knowledge and operational skills for hairdressing, building on skills that you will already have. it will build confidence and bring your creative skills to the fore and also develop the critical communication skills and professionalism which will take you forward to the next phase of your career.
This course contains nine units including: monitoring procedures to safely control work operations; promoting additional services or products to clients; providing hairdressing consultation services; creatively cutting hair using a combination of techniques; colouring hair using a variety of techniques; providing colour correction services; creatively styling and dressing hair; creatively dressing long hair; contributing to the planning and implementation of promotional activities.
Entry requirements: Students should hold a NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing Certificate and have current placement in a salon or at least five years industrial experience with the appropriate hairdressing skills.
Next steps: Management career in hairdressing, or employment as a teacher training lecturer or assessor.

16-18 | 2Y | W | SEP |)| This exciting course offers a stimulating mix of the two specialisms and will provide you with a genuinely employment- focused approach to your studies. The course will appeal particularly to those who have an interest in entrepreneurship and business and who want to gain the skills needed by hair & beauty professionals who hope to, ultimately, run successful salons themselves.
This course will cover all you need to know about hair and beauty at the level you’re studying. You’ll study the six industries that make up the hair and beauty sector: hairdressing, barbering, African-Caribbean hairdressing and barbering, beauty therapy, spa therapy and nail services. This will give you a good understanding of how each of them relate to other industries.
You can take specialist courses in hair and beauty as part of your Diploma. As well as english, maths and iCt. You will also develop skills like team-working, creative thinking and self-management. You’ll need them for life, study and work, and they’ll help you to be a success whatever you do in the future.
Next steps: To a related Level 4 qualification or degree or employment
Entry requirements: minimum five gCses grade a*-C or level 2 qualification.
