Chello DMC By Ian McMurray
Film1 Go allows subscribers to Dutch premium television service Film1 to enjoy its library
of international movie content on a number of devices including iPhone, iPad, Android smartphone/tablets and PC/Mac. According to exhibitor Chello DMC, Film1 Go – which it developed for Film1, and is
demonstrating today – highlights its core competencies in publishing, from rights acquisition, media management, archive, transcoding and QC through to delivery.
The company is discussing with visitors the four key
elements of its offering: connecting, enriching, publishing and delivering. With its operations in Europe and the Americas, it claims that it can reach 500 million households, bringing new technologies, new territories and new opportunities
to its customers.
In terms of enrichment, Chello DMC says that its efficient workflows mean that customers’ media and metadata are delivered to it only once before being prepared for multiple platforms.
Chello DMC describes its publishing capability as getting content to where it needs to be, when it needs to be there, in the required form and at the expected level of quality. The company includes among its delivery services encoding and multiplexing, encryption and DRM content delivery networks and fibre distribution. 1.D39
Front-end capabilities for RF test
Audemat By Paul Watson
A new version of Audemat’s Modulation Analyser is here in the shape of its FM Test & Measurement platform. A new RF Front End has been added to the unit and it is now available in two tailored packages; it is said to enable higher dynamic range measurements in the field, which means highly accurate and detailed measurements can be taken anywhere in the reception area, without access to the transmitter site. Audemat has also
repackaged its Modulation Analyser, making it available in two distinct versions: the Standard configuration offers all the basic tools required for precise FM measurements such as an RF, MPX, Spectrum, Modulation, Audio and RDS analysers; and the Lab Tools version adds a signal generator for RF, MPX and audio, distortion meters, an Oscilloscope display and automatic measurements. With the inclusion of the signal generator in the Lab Tools version, any FM signal can be simulated and then fed back into the software suite of the Modulation Analyser for comprehensive and in-depth measurement and analysis. 8.B50
