Using umbrellaCDN, the company says content providers and operators can cost-effectively deliver live and VoD content with the best possible QoE. The ideal CDN for each end
user request is selected according to operator-defined rule-based parameters, such as end-user location, end-user ISP, group of content (eg live/VoD, pay/free, premium/trailer), time of day, quality of service and more. Also on show on the

GCN selects CAS for neotv
Viaccess-Orca
By Ian McMurray Indonesian satellite TV provider PT. Global Comm Nusantara (GCN) has selected a Smartcard Conditional Access System (CAS) from Viaccess-Orca to support an upcoming interactive satellite-based DTH service called neotv. Viaccess-Orca said that the deployment will significantly increase its footprint in a region that is currently experiencing rapid growth in the DTH market, and will also showcase the versatility of Viaccess- Orca's CAS solutions in supporting a variety of provider types and networks.
“As the only certified Syariah-compliant DTH TV service in Indonesia, GCN’s neotv will target more than 30 million untapped viewers who want to watch family-friendly programming promoting good values and ethical behavior. To fulfill our commitment to these subscribers, we needed a proven conditional access system,” said Priyatno Sulisto, chairman, GCN. 1.A51
BkA100 video delivery analytics products, operatorCDN is claimed to provide operators with all the tools necessary to successfully deploy and manage their own CDN system, including user profiles,
billing information, quotas, and analytics. Using this collection of bandwidth provisioning and management tools, Broadpeak says that operators can sell bandwidth directly to content providers, enable resellers to sell it on their behalf, and
provide an unmatched QoS to end users. Broadpeak’s nanoCDN technology is also being demonstrated. Leveraging home networks, nanoCDN is designed to resolve live OTT consumption peak issues by
turning millions of broadband gateways or STBs into active components of the content delivery infrastructure. With nanoCDN, operators are said to be able to cost-effectively manage the consumption peaks of live multiscreen services for millions of simultaneous viewers using only a few megabits per second from the operator’s network. 4.B72
