Twister touches down

TeamCast By Heather McLean

Twister, a new ready-to-use rack modulator and exciter for DVB-T2, has been announced by TeamCast. Twister is a 1RU device designed to be integrated with new and existing TV transmitter systems. It is said to bring several key features to ease integration within the transmitter design and to achieve top class RF performance. This includes a digital adaptive pre-correction mechanism, an automatic gain control (AGC) process to ensure the correct output power stability and a

monitoring of key transmitting power figures such as forward transmitted power and reflected power levels. “With the new Twister

product range, we follow our strategy to integrate more and more added value functions, such as the automatic gain control and the power measurements unit in the modulator,” said Eric Pinson, head of the technology business unit at TeamCast. “Such features are needed in the global transmitter design, and making them available in Twister will help our customers to reduce their integration phase, accelerating their delivery time.” 2.B51
