Dubuque, IA, Lodge members gave Christmas food boxes to hundreds of needy families. Lodge members delivered some of the boxes directly, and the lodge donated other boxes to local charitable organizations to give to needy families. A total of 25,000 pounds of food was distributed.


West Des Moines, IA, Lodge donated $1,600 and 33 gifts for children to LifeWorks, which provides therapy to troubled children and families. The lodge also donated $2,200 worth of food items and cash to the Urbandale Food Pantry.


Chanute, KS, Lodge members at- tended a Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scout Anthony Keenan, of Boy Scout Troop No. 71, and gave him a certificate. For his Eagle Scout Service Project, Keenan installed concrete slabs and picnic tables at a campsite on Elk Lake in Chanute.


Logansport, IN, Lodge held its first annual James A. Spencer Memorial Golf Outing and Charity Auction and raised $4,100. The lodge earmarked $1,600 of these proceeds for lodge charities and donated $500 each to five elementary schools to be used for school supplies, equipment, and assistance to needy children. Fort Scott, KS, Lodge members delivered Christmas baskets to more than 180 needy families. Each basket contained enough food for a full Christmas dinner.


Goodland, KS, Lodge members distributed more than 130 dictionaries to third-grade students at six area elementary schools.


Frankfort, KY, Lodge hosted a Christmas Party for 25 needy chil- dren. Partygoers were provided with lunch and a visit with Santa, who
