Englewood, FL, Lodge hosted a Christmas Party for 24 needy families who are clients of Englewood Helping Hands. Lodge members hosted lunch for the families and provided face painting and entertainment by clowns for the 35 children in attendance. Following lunch, each child visited Santa, who gave each child several gifts from a wish list that the child’s parents had submitted. Ormond Beach, FL, Lodge held a Santa Paws fund-raising drive and collected about $900 worth of cash donations, pet food, and other pet supplies for the Halifax Humane Society. The lodge also held a Change 4 the Heart fund-raiser that raised more than $330 for the Elks National Foundation. Additionally, the lodge held an Italian Night Extravaganza fund-raiser that raised more than $1,100 for the Harry-Anna Trust Fund, which supports the two state major projects, the Florida Elks Youth Camp and Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services.

Palatka, FL, Lodge, with the help of a $2,000 ENF Promise Grant, provided a Christmas meal to nine needy families. All of the families also received a set of educational books, and the 24 children of the families each received several items of clothing and educational toys.


Palm Coast, FL, Lodge donated nearly $640 to lodge-sponsored Boy Scout Troop No. 270. The funds were used to renew the troop’s charter and to purchase shirts for the scouts. In other news, the lodge held a Critter Food Drive and collected two boxes of pet supplies for the Flagler Humane Society. Lodge members also collected two barrels of toys for the US


Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program. In addition, the lodge donated $100 to a food drive held by the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office. In more news, the lodge held a Flag-Retirement Ceremony and respectfully disposed of nearly 160 worn and damaged US flags and one damaged US Marine Corps flag. Lodge members were assisted in the cer- emony by members of the Marine Corps League and scouts from lodge- sponsored Boy Scout Troop No. 270.


St. Petersburg, FL, Lodge donated more than $77,000 worth of manufac- turers’ coupons to the US Air Force to be given to airmen and family mem- bers stationed overseas.


Sanford, FL, Lodge members attended a Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scout Miles Pflueger, of lodge- sponsored Boy Scout Troop No. 543, and gave him a framed letter of congratulations and a bowie knife. For his Eagle Scout Project, Pflueger cleaned up an area of a local wildlife
