Rogers-Bentonville, AR, Lodge donated more than $1,000 to Open Avenues, which provides job training, employment, and other assistance to help people with disabilities live independent lives.


In other news, the lodge hosted a Court of Honor Ceremony for new Eagle Scout Trevor Fore, of lodge- sponsored Boy Scout Troop No. 2144, and gave him a US flag. For his Eagle Scout Project, Fore led a team at the Horseshoe Bend Campground in northeast Arkansas that rerouted and widened the Tranquil Timbers Trail and cleared fallen trees from the trail.


Jerome, AZ, Lodge members distributed dictionaries to more than 600 third-grade students in local schools. Phoenix, AZ, Lodge held its annual Children’s Shopping Spree. Lodge members accompanied 61 children on a shopping trip so that they could each purchase $125 worth of clothes at a retail store. Following the trip, the lodge provided the children, their parents, and their siblings with lunch at the lodge. At the lunch, all of the children present visited with Santa, who gave each child a goody bag. In related news, lodge members took ten children from military families on a shopping trip so that they could each purchase $125 worth of clothing.


Sedona, AZ, Lodge members shipped 100 care packages to US troops serving overseas.


Tucson East, AZ, Lodge members accompanied 70 needy children on a shopping trip to a retail store and helped each of them buy about $100 worth of clothing. Following the shopping trip, the children were provided with lunch and games at a local restaurant.

needy families. Each box contained enough food for a full Christmas dinner and several more meals.


Winslow, AZ, Lodge members deliv- ered nearly 320 Christmas baskets to needy families. A total of nearly 1,200 people, including more than 620 children, benefited from the program. Each basket contained enough food for a full Christmas dinner, additional


Fullerton, CA, Lodge held its annual Christmas Party for 20 families with seriously disabled children. The families were provided with snacks and beverages, and the 50 children visited with Santa Claus, who gave each child a present.


Gardena, CA, Lodge donated $10,000 to the Bob Hope Hollywood USO at the Los Angeles International Airport. The Bob Hope Hollywood USO provides a place for military personnel and their families to relax while they are traveling.
