Athens, GA, Lodge donated 25 pounds of aluminum pull tabs to Atlanta Ronald McDonald House Charities, which provides housing for relatives of hospitalized children. Ronald McDonald House Charities sells the pull tabs for their scrap value to help fund the charity’s activities. than $28,000 worth of coupons to the US Navy base in Yokosuka, Japan, to be given to military personnel and their families.
In more news, lodge members provided a needy family with a Christmas dinner and gave clothing and a toy to each of the family’s three children. The lodge also held a Yard Sale fund- raiser and raised nearly $700 for lodge charities.

Cartersville, GA, Lodge used a $2,000 ENF Freedom Grant to provide honey-baked hams and toys to nine military families. Each child of the families received $100 worth of toys. Pictured with Secy. Peoria, IL, Lodge members provided about 225 senior citizens from area nursing homes with lunch at a local American Legion hall.
Princeton, IL, Lodge members delivered Christmas baskets to 120 needy families. Each family received a basket containing enough food for three holiday meals, at least two toys for each child in the family, and a winter coat, scarf, hat, and pair of gloves for each child in the family. The total value of the food donated was $5,000, and the total value of the toys was more than $5,000.
Bicknell, IN, Lodge held a Breakfast with Santa for children and grandchil- dren of lodge members and children from the local Head Start preschool program. All of the 25 children in attendance and their parents were provided with breakfast, and each child had a chance to visit Santa, who gave each child a bag of goodies and a Christmas gift.
